A Lucky Hunt with Aella ★★★☆☆
A Lucky Hunt with Aella, we get lucky after hunting for ladybugs, that is.
Pros:
- Ladybug finding difficulty
Cons:
- Press X to continue
- Next day scenes go by fast
Explanation to Negative Feedback
Press X to continue
When the scenes with conversations pop up, you’re not given a whole lot of context on what to do next to progress forward. There’s a dialogue bubble, which merely hides the text from view. You can’t click to proceed.
You have to press the X button in the top right.
Which is crazy, because every game out there that has you pressing a large X in the corner of the games means you’re going to exit out of that game, either completely or to the menu.
I don’t know whose bright idea it was to implement that as a progression point.
Next day scenes go by fast
It’s a petty little con, because there’s not much to see on the day completion screen. It basically tells you the day’s complete, then gives you the next day, then disappears. You don’t have to do any clicking, and I think that’s what bugs me.
No pun intended, considering we’re dealing with ladybugs here.
It’s just why make it so it’s there and gone. I almost had no time to read the next day out loud before it disappeared.

Ladybug finding difficulty
There are different scenes where you’ll need to look for ladybugs. This is basically a hidden object game masquerading as a visual novel, or vice-versa. I just feel like you spend more time looking through the scenes than reading text.
The ladybugs are not easy to find a lot of times.
You’d think it’d be easy, since they’re red and typically stand out in a non-red environment, but in this game, they’re different colors to the point of camouflage. And man, do they camouflage really well at times.
I was spamming the hint button at one point and still took forever to figure out where it was pointing at.
But I appreciate the challenge. It’s not super easy.
